Nanos G20 no network acces

Hello,

i have new Nanos G20. Boots up fine, but i get no network access. I have tried auto configured eth0, it gets ip, gateway etc. but cannot ping outside of local area network. I have also tried static ip config in the networks file, no change.
There is no firewall, router works fine.
Can I provide any more information so i can get help on resolving this issue?

Best regards

Re: Nanos G20 no network acces

The output of "ifconfing" and "route -n" would be helpful.

the output:

Re: Nanos G20 no network acces

If 192.168.114.21 really is your router, then at least these settings seem to be correct. When trying to ping a server outside your LAN, do you directly ping an IP address or a hostname? If the latter, it might only be a name resolution problem. In this case check if /etc/resolv.conf contains your nameserver and/or try pinging a known IP address.

Re: Nanos G20 no network acces

yes that's the router. I'm pinging the IP directly

Re: Nanos G20 no network acces

So just to make sure I understand correctly, pinging the router works, but pinging a server on the internet does not?

Re: Nanos G20 no network acces

indeed. But now i have pluged it in at home and it seems to work. So I guess it is the companys firewall or something. Still i have a problem with apt-get update. It cant find ip of the ftp servers for update but i can ping google

Re: Nanos G20 no network acces

Regarding the apt issue, please see http://www.armbedded.eu/node/491 . This FAQ should solve the problem.
