Stamp 9G20: DNS with statip ip address

Hello everybody,

I'm quite new to embedded Linux, with just basic knowledge of Linux in general; so this one is not trivial to me:
I changed /etc/network/interfaces to make my Stamp use a static IP, which works fine for my local network. But I didn't succed in configuring a DNS, so I can' connect to the internet. Even changing /etc/resolv.conf did work until next reboot only, as it seems to be newly created afterwards.
What's the Linux way to have a static IP as well as working DNS without user intervention?

Regards
Nicolaus

To not wear the flash unnecessarily /etc/resolv.conf is just a link to a file in RAM, so it is reset on every boot. To resolve the issue, just delete /etc/resolv.conf and recreate it with your settings.
