Support Windows Embedded CE

Hi all,

I saw this forum and I'm wondering if Taskit is going to support Windows Embedded CE on the Panelcard or other ARM Boards? Or is this forum here just for those people who are trying this them self? I'm currently using the PanelCard with Linux on it but it would be nice to be able to play around with other operatingsystems too..
kind regards,
Jan Pannecoeck

Re: Support Windows Embedded CE

Hello Jan,

both, we are going to support Windows Embedded CE on our boards and this forum is for developers who want to discuss their problems and exchange experiences. As starting point we offer a limited evaluation copy of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 in the download section. If you want to start developing applications then you need at least Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 Professional (Express and Standard Editions are insufficient).

Re: Support Windows Embedded CE

Hi Björn,

Will you provide Board Support Package for your products?

Re: Support Windows Embedded CE

Currently we do not provide a board support package, in future we may do.

If you have specific demand now then feel free to ask for assistance.

Re: Support Windows Embedded CE

Hi Taskit team!

I have a dev. board for Stamp9G20, buied few weeks ago.
I have read somewhere it is possible to install Windows Embedded CE on that module.
I have downloaded the package and now I have to install it but I am not able to do this procedure!
Please, is there somebody who can help me?
I have to develop an application connected to a device not linux compatible and for me is mandatory use Windows Embedded CE with the compact Framework.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Re: Support Windows Embedded CE

the Windows Embedded CE image that we provide for evaluation purposes works on the Panel-Card and Stamp9261 only. Stamp9G20 requires a different image that we have not finished creating yet. In case you want to create a Windows Embedded CE image on your own then you can use the Board Support Package for SAM9G20 provided by Atmel at [1]. If you need further assistance then tell more about your problem.

Best Regards
